Skid lifters and high lifts are for use with open bottom pallets, wire baskets, containers, or skids. They are commonly used in applications where the load needs to interface with machinery, packaging equipment, assembly operations and conveyor end of line. Unlike portable lift tables, loads can be moved to and from the ground level using a skid lift or high lift without any ramping.
MJHLE electric high lifts are designed and operate similar to a pallet jack. Once the load is lifted above 11", an automatic floor lock engages in order to stabilize the load. This is required due to the triangular placement of the points of contact with the floor. High Lifts are good candidates for applications where ground level maneuverability is critical. The MJHLE-SS is the stainless steel variant of the high lift. Both units are available with an optional slide on platform and wired remote lift/lower controls.
MJHLS manual pump up skid lifters maneuver more like a cart. Skid lifters have four individual casters which greatly increases load stability and does not require a floor lock. Loads can be moved at height with a skid lifter. One steer wheel is swivel, while the other is rigid and connected to a steer handle. The MJHLSE is the electrically powered lift version of our skid lifter and is recommended for applications where the loads will need to be commonly raised and lowered.
